Depletion
Leaders who keep going until they can’t
High performers often carry the load quietly, then leave after a long stretch of depletion, taking momentum and knowledge with them.
Nervous system training for performance and productivity
Support your people. Strengthen leadership capacity.
Soma-Q helps organizations develop nervous system literacy as a practical leadership and workforce capability. Through experiential training, applied practice, and weekly measurement, leaders and teams learn to recognize stress earlier, regulate more effectively, recover between demands, and keep their access to clarity, connection, and choice when pressure rises.
Organizations have invested in knowledge, leadership development, benefits, wellness, and mental health resources. Those investments matter. They often leave one layer underdeveloped: the physiological capacity of the people expected to use everything they know while under pressure.
Soma-Q works at that layer. We train leaders and teams to recognize how pressure is organizing in the body, interrupt stress patterns earlier, recover more effectively, and keep their access to attention, communication, and leadership presence when demand rises.
This is not another wellness activity added to a full calendar. It is performance infrastructure for the human system.
We look at performance and productivity through the whole person, not only the line on the P&L. Energy, focus, recovery, and connection are what sustainable output is made of, at work and beyond it.
The problem we own
Depletion
High performers often carry the load quietly, then leave after a long stretch of depletion, taking momentum and knowledge with them.
Decisions
When pressure stays high, decision-making narrows and recovery between demands shrinks.
Communication
Tone, patience, and listening are often the first things to slip, and disengagement follows.
Resources
Wellness resources are available, yet they rarely change what happens in the meeting, the deadline, or the hard conversation.
The question we ask
Not “How stressed are your people?” but “What happens to their capacity to lead when pressure rises, and can that capacity be trained?”
The Soma-Q difference
01
We begin with the body’s signals rather than asking people to think their way out of a physiological state.
02
Soma-Q draws on a library of more than 100 practices, 64 of them built on techniques with verified peer-reviewed research behind them. Each is organized by the NeuroSoma Axis™ and chosen for what each team and each person needs: to steady, to energize, to focus, to recover, or to reconnect. No single technique is the offer.
03
Soma-Q is education and training. We do not diagnose or treat conditions; we teach people to recognize state, regulate, recover, and apply those skills under real pressure.
04
Knowing about stress is not the same as having a trained response to it. Soma-Q turns nervous system literacy into repeatable practice.
05
Every substantive engagement starts with a baseline and tracks progress weekly, so development is visible rather than hoped for.
06
We do not promise a percentage drop in burnout, turnover, or cost. We build and measure the human capacities that support stronger recovery, communication, and retention.
The business case
Energy, clarity, and joy are not soft outcomes. They are the lived expression of a nervous system with more range, and they connect directly to the results your leadership team already tracks.
Energy
The capacity to sustain effort and recover between demands.
For the organization: more sustainable performance and less dependence on chronic overdrive.
Clarity
The capacity to recognize activation, create space before reacting, and keep access to deliberate choice.
For the organization: steadier thinking, communication, and decisions under load.
Joy
The capacity to stay connected to meaning, people, and life beyond constant pressure.
For the organization: a more human, engaged, and sustainable culture.
How an engagement works
01
Your pressure points, leadership environment, goals, and existing resources.
02
Agree what will be measured before training begins.
03
Experiential nervous system literacy, with practices curated for your team, in the context of work.
04
Short practices between sessions, so skills become behavior, not memory.
05
Weekly progress through the SQ-LPMS and engagement-specific indicators.
06
Individual learning becomes leadership behavior and team norms.
07
What changed, what remains constrained, and what to do next.
Ways to work together
Most organizations
A cohort program built around your pressure points for a leadership team or group, with baseline, facilitated training, practices curated from the Soma-Q library, practice between sessions, weekly measurement, and a final report.
Half day
An experiential session that gives leaders a shared language for nervous system regulation and practical tools they can use the same afternoon.
Ongoing
A longer relationship that builds nervous system literacy into how your organization leads, with individual support for selected leaders.
Depending on scope, an engagement can include baseline assessment, experiential training, short practices for the workday, individual support for selected leaders, reinforcement resources between sessions, weekly progress measurement, and organizational reporting.
Measurement
Every engagement includes weekly measurement through the SQ-LPMS (Soma-Q Leadership Progress Measurement System), which creates a feedback loop between training and observed progress.
It shows two things together: the SQ-M (Soma-Q Method Metrics), how consistently the method is taking hold, and the SQ-C (Soma-Q Leadership Competencies), how relevant leadership competencies are shifting. Sponsors see where capacity is strengthening and where it is still constrained, in language executives, HR, and L&D can use.
Measurement makes development visible. It is not a medical assessment, and it does not claim to prove the cause of enterprise outcomes such as turnover or healthcare cost.
Who this is for
We believe organizations cannot think their way out of a physiological problem.
Regulation is a skill. Recovery is a skill. Awareness is a skill. Choice under pressure is a skill. And skills can be practiced, strengthened, and measured.
Not to make people tolerate unhealthy systems. Not to teach employees to breathe through impossible workloads. But to give people greater capacity while helping organizations understand the conditions that support sustainable performance.
Every engagement starts with a conversation about your leaders, your pressure points, and how success will be measured. I am glad to scope something that fits your organization.
