My name is Megan McDonald, founder and CEO of Soma-Q.
Not long ago, I was exactly where many professionals find themselves today—stressed, overworked, and disconnected from my own well-being. As a healthcare technology sales executive, I thrived in high-pressure environments, becoming a subject matter expert in controlling chaos while also producing results. One of my greatest joys was to lead teams with compassion and kindness. But beneath the surface, corporate culture and relentless demands took their toll, leading to burnout and a health crisis that forced me to reevaluate everything.​

Like most people, life has handed me some intense personal and professional setbacks that at times left me isolated, angry, confused, depleted, and wracked with body pain and sleepless nights - sound familiar? Discovering somatic practices became my lifeline—not just a regimen or routine - but a path to reclaiming my unique essence that led to me to discovering clarity, vitality, and purpose. What began as a personal pursuit soon turned into years of deep study—an investment of time and resources that rivaled a master’s degree.

Today, as a retired healthcare executive, I combine my leadership experience with my passion for well-being to help individuals and organizations thrive. The wellness playbook we've been taught and practiced is outdated and needs a rewrite.
With neuroscience and evidence-based research, I have created toolsets that create trustworthy, supportive, and approachable spaces where people feel safe to explore new ways of leading, living, and working. My human-centric approach is honest, compassionate and dependable, ensuring that those who work with me feel valued, empowered and heard. ​
